Since the summer of 2024, we have been jointly leading Lignatur AG. With the acquisition of the majority shareholding in the summer of 2026, we have now also assumed responsibility as owners for the company’s long-term development. Lignatur AG remains owner-managed and firmly rooted in the Appenzell region. Together, we are committed to continuing the success story of LIGNATUR and guiding the company into the future with new ideas, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial responsibility. In doing so, our established values of honesty, trust, and reliability remain the foundation of everything we do.

Ruedi Jud & Ralph Schläpfer
Ruedi and Ralph are experienced timber construction specialists and entrepreneurs with a shared passion for sustainable building. Their expertise and vision have significantly contributed to establishing LIGNATUR as a synonym for quality and innovation in timber construction. Ruedi applies his many years of experience specifically to optimizing and refining production processes. As an engineer and Head of Marketing, Ralph played a decisive role in the development and positioning of LIGNATUR and was particularly active in consulting and sales within the BENELUX region.

Willi Glaeser
Glaeser describes himself as a minimalist. His credo drives him: «Good design is when everything unnecessary is omitted.» But he is not only an expert in design. From the very beginning, he understood how to coach Ruedi Jud and Ralph Schläpfer and give them freedom in developing Lignatur AG — with great skill, sensitivity and extensive entrepreneurial knowledge.

1997–2007: Willi Glaeser served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lignatur AG.
