Fire stops in building components with fire compartments

The configuration on the right shows possible waysof sealing as a base for planning. But it is by nomeans complete. Individual cases require theopinion of a fire safety specialist.

Concentrating the vertical installations into shaftshas proofed an appropriate solution. If there areno fire resistance requirements for the shafts andvertical installations, the space has to be sealedwith a fire stop at ceiling level.
